And remember that our babies lived within us even if briefly and changed our lives forever.  It’s an opportunity to share your story and hear other’s.  It’s a day to make happy memories through creating a memory wall, decorating ornaments and sending balloons to the heavens, collecting awareness items, getting a ribbon painted on your cheek and being surrounded by love and understanding. The whole family is invited and there are activities for siblings, too.  There is no charge to participate, but donations are accepted.  Please visit our website for more information and to register – www.myforgetmenotwalk.org

A candlelight healing ceremony will be held at the base of the Angel monument each year in December. After a few remarks, a moment of silence, the attendees are invited to leave a white flower at the base of the angel statue. The public is welcome.

The Candle light Memorial Service will held at the base of the Angel of Hope Statue.

The statue is beautiful and so is the grounds surrounding it. There are numerous bricks honoring the children who have passed away. It is a very touching and memorable event.

This walk is held annually in October to coincide with Infant Death Awareness Month. All those touched by the babys life, including family, friends, coworkers, employers and health care providers, are welcome to attend. This event enables us, along with so many others, to walk to remember and honor the lives of our babies lost too soon. The Memorial Walk is designed to support bereaved parents, raise awareness about infant death and promote ANAs role in the community, and provide people an opportunity to contribute to ANAs programs. ANA helps families of stillborn children throughout the country, though the majority of families who access ANA programs are from New York State. ANAs programs assist with expenses related to the babys death as well as grief counseling; comfort families upon babys stillbirth; educate the community about grief specific to infant death; and raise money for stillbirth research.

The Kindness Walk is an international memorial walk to honor and remember children who died and support all the mothers, fathers, and families who are loving and MISS-ing them. The MISS Foundation's international community invites you and your loved ones to participate in our Kindness Walk: Remembering Those We Love because death is NOT bigger than a family's love, and because even in their absence, they continue to walk with us, as we walk for them.

The release will take place promptly at 6:00 PM on Saturday, October 15 Crescent Lake Park in St. Petersburg
The United States has designated October 15 as National Remembrance Day for families who have experienced the death of a baby during pregnancy or infancy.  In recognition of this day, the community is invited to gather together at Crescent Lake Park in St. Petersburg to participate in an environmentally friendly balloon release in celebration of the short but precious lives of the little ones we so deeply love and desperately miss.  The release will take place promptly at 6:00 PM on Saturday, October 15.  Guests are encouraged to arrive early to allow time to write notes to their children on seed paper, which will be handed out along with biodegradable balloons from 5:00-5:45 PM.  Precautions are being taken to ensure that this is an eco-friendly event, so we must insist that nobody brings their own balloons.  This event is free but donations are greatly appreciated.  To register please contact: lauren.e.highfill@gmail.com

This Remembrance Gathering is being held in affiliation with Sweet Pea Project and is hosted by Lauren Highfill Symmes, who is volunteering her efforts in memory of her own beautiful child, Rex Christopher.  Sweet Pea Project, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that offers comfort, support and gentle guidance to families who have experienced the death of a baby during pregnancy or infancy, was founded by Stephanie Paige Cole after the death of her daughter Madeline.  Sweet Pea Project is headquartered in Pennsylvania, but reaches out to families across the country and internationally through their blanket and book donation programs.  The official Sweet Pea Project Annual Remembrance Gathering will be happening on the same evening in Lancaster, PA.  For more information on Sweet Pea Project please visit www.sweetpeaproject.org.
