NEWS & UPDATES

March 12, 2009

In the year 2000 the October 15th campaign began and gradually took off. By 2009 it has become an almost a worldwide event. We have more than 500+ volunteers during this time who have done an amazing job both here in the United States where it originated and abroad where many volunteers have worked hard to make October 15th a worldwide event.

In the recent days it has come to our attention that Ms. Terra-Lynn Coggan who has worked under our direction as the Canada Director since approximately 2004 has chosen to defame and slander Robyn Bear and Lisa Brown throughout the internet, facebook, and by private emails.

Unfortunately, a much private debate regarding her website name and the origin of October 15th has come into play and been made very public by Terra-Lynn Coggan. Our work from 2000-2009 has been slandered, our names have been defamed and our Volunteer Organization has been put under attack. We have done our best to keep things private on our end; however, Ms. Coggan has chosen not to do the same. Most issues could have easily been worked out.

At this time, the October 15th committee has unanimously agreed that Terra-Lynn is no longer working under the October 15th campaign and has been immediately relieved of her duties.

Although Terra-Lynn has done a wonderful job in bring awareness to the Canadians we feel due to a very large personality conflict, we unfortunately can no longer work with her and she is no longer working under the direction of the October 15th campaign.

Her work on the Canadian campaign for October 15th will be noted from October 15th, 2004 – March 12, 2009 as a job well done.

No further questions are required as is matter is now officially closed.

Sincerely,

Robyn Bear, Founder of October 15th
Lisa Brown, Co-Founder of October 15th
Russell Bear, Advisor of October 15th
Stac Kuehnert, Web and Graphic Design and Advisor of October 15th
